Our guitar students perform at annual recitals at city venues — not just in the classroom.
Classical, acoustic and electric — from first chords to grade exams. ABRSM, Trinity and Trinity Rock & Pop syllabus. Bring your own guitar.
Guitar classes at Fingersmith's Garage span classical technique, acoustic chord-based playing, and electric. Students choose their focus and we build a programme around it — all with a foundation of correct technique, music theory and reading.
We are an authorised ABRSM practical exam centre. Guitar students can sit ABRSM Classical guitar practicals on-site. For Trinity and Trinity Rock & Pop, we prepare students and they record performances here for digital submission.
Guitarists must bring their own instrument to class. Classical guitar: nylon string acoustic. Electric: bring your guitar (we can advise on amp settings). Don't have one yet? We can advise on what to buy before enrolling.
Music theory and aural training are covered in combined Zoom group sessions — students from different schedules and instruments join together. These run alongside your in-person guitar class.
